Evolving Means Changing Our Reality

What do we do when we evolve?

As the title of this blog indicates, if we are to evolve we need to change the reality of the world.
If you think about it a second, especially if you look at the diagram above, you'll see that reality involves a lot of different things. Reality is different for everyone and so even defining reality is difficult. But, it can be done. So here goes.

Your reality is the sum total of your mind's reaction to all the pieces of information that have ever entered your brain. Your reality, based on your past experiences and future expectations, plus the forces of nature created by the consciousness of the creator and the realities of all other human beings creates the current state of the planet. You, all the other people, and the forces of nature create the world just the way it is now. So, if those of us who want to evolve want to create a more harmonious society in tune with the needs of the natural world we must change how we view ourselves with respect to how we contribute to the reality of the world. In other words, we must change our reality by recognizing that we create our reality within our mind and begin to think different thoughts and hold more positive visions about the future of our planet in our minds. We will evolve when we accept our ability to change the real world with the contents of our minds.

You may wonder how one person, the solitary you, can accomplish this. The fact is that you can not do it alone. Many people need to evolve and accept their creative power to change their reality to begin changing the reality of the world. But take heart, there are many, many people already involved in making this personal choice to evolve. If you look about you, you can see the evidence of their work. People are concerned with green living, cutting down on fossil fuel consumption, clean water, energy efficiency and many other projects. What you need to do now to evolve, to get on board with the planet saving effort, is to make a choice to evolve. You might ask, what will happen to me then?

I can't predict your individual path. But I can state with absolute assurance, that once you make a decision to evolve your consciousness to one that accepts your power to change the reality of the world paths will appear before you, ideas will stick in your mind that seem attractive to you and that will lead you to change your reality and contribute to the salvation of life on the planet. In reality, there is no other choice accept self-centered extinction. By the way, even if there are self centered block heads that refuse to change it won't matter. All we need is fifty percent plus one and the world will change.

Evolution Continues

Has evolution stopped? Is the present form of the human race the ultimate expression of form and consciousness? The answer is that it had better not be. The group consciousness of the entire population of the world is what generates the current conditions and circumstances of humanity.

Even the most cursory investigation reveals that we humans, both scientifically and spiritually, have a long way to go. What is even more disturbing is the fact that we are using up the planet faster than the planet can replace what we use. Oil is our biggest concern now, but it is very evident that water and pure air are being put under stress now too. We have generated a technological society that produces wastes that we are not able to neutralize. Thus we are in the very real situation of making uninhabitable the only place we have to live. We are sowing the seeds of our own destruction and not facing the fact that if we have no water and air to sustain life it will not matter how big our bank accounts are. Fortunately, there are people like us, who know that evolution must take place in order for the human race to continue.

For a moment, let's compare ourselves to a school of fish in the sea long ago. Like fish in the sea, we understand that there is something beyond the surface of the sea that we see above us. We are accustomed to living the the water and are not sure what lies above us, but we know that now and then we see things that let us know that something else is up there but we don't know for sure what it is.

One day a fish reports to us that it jumped out of the water and, for a brief moment, landed on dry land and saw the wonders of the earth spread out before it. It came back to report on what it saw but no one was curious enough to jump out of the water with him to see for them selves what lies out there beyond. The fish who had seen what was above them all tried and tried to convince his other friends to join him in this new realm but the others thought he was crazy or delusional and went on their way. The fish knew what he saw and one day swam up to the shore, climbed out, and proceeded to evolve until he could readily function in the new environment of dry land. The only difference between the evolved fish and the others was that the fish made a decision to evolve and thus allowed evolution to continue with him.

This is where humanity is now. Evolution must continue but in order for it to happen we must make the decision to allow it to happen. What is the process needed to partake in the evolution of the future. How can I, one solitary individual, affect the direction of humankind?
The fact is you can, if you decide to. The process you will need to make this happen is the subject of all future blogs. I look forward to having you along on the journey, till next time.

Good Morning,
Why read a blog like this? Why investigate the power you have to live life on your terms? As you already know, not everyone is interested in living that way. The vast majority are satisfied, and often defensive, with what they already know. Change can be frightening. I understand the majority's fearfulness and need to accept what they've got and not seek a path to change. But their view point is limited and denys them access to their birthright.
But fortunately there is another group, you the curious minority, that seeks change and is willing to forego the safety of the status quo for adventure and the sense of empowerment that comes with living life on your terms. You see life as it is, a dynamic process organized around the concept of self-improvement. You, whether you realize it or not, are the lucky ones who understand that all organisms, including humankind, must evolve or ultimately perish. The majority think that evolution stopped with the dinosaurs . We know better. More about this next week.

Why Blog?

Good Morning,
Living life on your terms. Why should I write about that? Can we really do it or are we subject to the ebb and flow of the pressures of society and natural events that happen around us? The answer, believe it or not, depends to a great extent, on what you expect. Why this is so and how to shape your present to positively affect your future is the topic we will discuss as the weeks go by.
All of my ideas on this subject are presented in my book: Internal Guidance: live life on your terms. The book is available in paper back and e-book at LuLu.com. The purpose of this blog, by the way, is not to sell my book but to reveal the ideas and process it contains to those who don't want to buy it. I would very much like to hear from you on the ideas I present. Nothing, except the two basic laws of the universe, are written in stone. All else is up for alteration by us. So, good bye for now. We'll be in touch again next week. Best regards, Paul
